We want to welcome you all to join us in a daily gratitude journal this month. Why? Because gratitude can positively impact our mental and physical health.
Gratitude is the act of being thankful for the things in our life and recognizing the goodness in the world around us. It allows us to connect to something greater than ourselves.
Gratitude is consistently associated with greater happiness in psychology research. It opens the gateway to increased positivity, enjoyment of life experiences, and improvement in health. According to one research, those who kept a gratitude journal reported increased optimism, which led to increase in exercise and fewer visits to the doctor’s office.
Does being grateful cause us to be more positive? Research is yet to confirm that. However, most of the studies do support that there is a definite association between gratitude and the individual’s well-being.
The beauty in being grateful is it allows us to focus on being thankful for what we have, rather than on what we lack.
Here at Elite Wellness, we are incredibly thankful for our patients, our staff, and our families who support and commend us for providing exceptional care.
This month, let us all commit to keeping a daily journal of gratitude as we head into the holiday season!
